Trotter1.JPGJust arrived & available to view - Bates Astral 810 - 27ft - This is a fantastic opportunity to get hold of a rare Bates Astral 810 with a Thornycroft 1800cc BMC diesel engine on a shaft drive to a bronze prop with a centrallly mounted rudder.  This is set in a "tunnel" under the boat for protection and efficiency.  This was built in 1981 by Bates at Chertsey using the very successful Norman hull and the basic design and moulding is still in use today on the later Atlanta boats and now as the Shetland 27.  An open-backed wheelhouse cruiser that is equally at home on the river or at sea with purposeful and economical performance.  This is a well-equipped boat that has 6 berths with V-berths forward that can convert to a large double, a large dinette for 4 people that also converts to a good double and 2 pilot berths in the snug aft cabin - ideal for kids.  Fitted with a starter battery and a leisure battery, calorifier for hot water, Webasto blown air central heating, lots of storage space and a good galley with gas hob, grill and oven and a stainless steel sink, taps and drainer.  This has been very well maintained and has a comprehensive history including copies of the original sales brochure and a magazine article from 1999 about this particular boat.  There is a Boat Safety Certificate until July 2019.  Ideal as a holiday and weekend cruiser, Trotter would also work very well as a pied-a-terre or compact liveaboard and it comes with a guaranteed mooring in Egham: this is great value - £11,950
Ranburn003.JPGJust arrived & available to view - Moonraker 30 - 30ft - This is a great opportunity to get hold of a rare Moonraker 30 with twin Mercedes OM636 diesel engines mated to TMP gearboxes on shaft drives to 4-bladed bronze props.  This was built in 1970 by Moonraker Marine of Brundall on the Norfolk Broads and is a superb example that easily eclipses most of the Ocean 30s on which it is based.  A wheelhouse cruiser that is equally at home on the river or at sea with purposeful and economical performance.  This is a well-equipped boat that has a 3kw inverter, Webasto diesel fired central heating, solar panels and 6 berths; the list of equipment is lengthy and comprehensive and also includes 1 x starter battery and 4 x AGM leisure batteries.  This is engineer owned and has been continuosly inproved and upgraded over the years and includes recent new upholstery: 4 years ago, Ranburn was subject to a complete exterior refurbishment and the hull, decks and superstructure were completely re-painted.  Ideal as a cruising liveaboard, pied-a-terre or holiday cruiser and it can come with a mooring in Old Windsor, this is great value - £24,950

DSCN5023.JPGAvailable to view and all ready to go - Gentleman's Cruiser - 30ft - This is a wonderful wooden gentleman's cruiser with a pedigree build from 1938 and made by Elkins of Christchurch.  This is made from teak on oak frames and is in lovely condition with a freshly painted hull, fresh antifoul and new show varnish.  Equipped with twin diesel engines, BMC 1.5's (one was fully rebuilt a couple of years ago) with TMP gearboxes and bronze propellors - unusually, she has a single varnished external rudder with hydraulic steering.  A good level of equipment including 1 x starter battery, 3 x leisure batteries, marine battery charger, electric and manual bilge pumps, twin diesel tanks, nearly new calorifier, GPS, compass, VHF and more.  Laid out as a 4 berth with more potential in the large comfortable wheelhouse this is a lovely cruising boat that always draws admiring glances and could also be used as a liveaboard or pied-a-terre.  Successfully cruised on the Thames and at sea, fully insured and surveyed, this is a rare chance to own a wonderful boat with loads of history - £24,950
