Narrowboats wanted for brokerage or outright purchase
Ranburn003.JPGJust arrived & available to view - Moonraker 30 - 30ft - This is a great opportunity to get hold of a rare Moonraker 30 with twin Mercedes OM636 diesel engines mated to TMP gearboxes on shaft drives to 4-bladed bronze props.  This was built in 1970 by Moonraker Marine of Brundall on the Norfolk Broads and is a superb example that easily eclipses most of the Ocean 30s on which it is based.  A wheelhouse cruiser that is equally at home on the river or at sea with purposeful and economical performance.  This is a well-equipped boat that has a 3kw inverter, Webasto diesel fired central heating, solar panels and 6 berths; the list of equipment is lengthy and comprehensive and also includes 1 x starter battery and 4 x AGM leisure batteries.  This is engineer owned and has been continuosly inproved and upgraded over the years and includes recent new upholstery: 4 years ago, Ranburn was subject to a complete exterior refurbishment and the hull, decks and superstructure were completely re-painted.  Ideal as a cruising liveaboard, pied-a-terre or holiday cruiser and it can come with a mooring in Old Windsor, this is great value - £24,950

Nadia001.JPGJust arrived & available to view - Dutch Barge Widebeam Liveaboard - 49ft - This is a rare opportunity to get hold of a fully restored Dutch barge that has had a full external restoration as well as an internal re-fit.  Starting with the hull, Nadia was surveyed and any remedial work done, bow thruster fitted, then fully blacked and her superstructure repainted professionally, the machinery was also brought up to modern standards with new batteries, battery chargers and inverter.  The interior has been completely re-fitted and is in lovely condition with a light, bright airy feel that will making life aboard very comfortable whilst still retaining the character of Dutch barge.  It comes with a copy of the survey and photos of the work done and a Boat Safety Certificate until 2022.  Other equipment includes a lovely multi-fuel stove that is brand new and will keep the boat warm all year round.  Laid out as a 6 berth with 2 doubles and 2 singles, the aft cabin is private and cosy, the wheelhouse has 2 long benches and the main saloon is spacious with a full size sofa bed.  This is a quality boat and, don't forget, Nadia comes with moorings too - £44,950

PicesofEight001.JPGJust arrived & available to view - Liveaboard Narrowboat - 50ft - This is a great liveaboard narrowboat built by Gary Gorton and fitted professionally by J.D. Boats of Gailey and launched in 1994.  Very well maintained and with a very comprehensive inventory of equipment this will give you comfortable cruising whilst out on the water and comfortable living whilst moored.  Gas-fired central heating, Morso Squirrel multi-fuel stove, full sized cooker, full sized shower, 12 volt lighting throughout, Waeco battery charger, Victron inverter and much more.  A survey from 4 years ago showing the boat to be in good condition and a brand new Boat Safety Certificate that runs to Spetember 2022 along with recent servicing by a careful owner, a new pram hood at the stern and a good size means that this 50ft narrowboat is ready to be enjoyed and it comes with a guaranteed mooring - £33,500

Miskin001.JPGJust arrived & available to view - Seamaster 820 - 27ft - Here's a rare and sought after Seamaster 820 built by Seamaster Boats around 1980 in Dunmow. The 820 was designed by Bob Hancock in 1979 and introduced to entice buyers in a falling market; by the time Seamaster ceased to trade in 1981, 100 boats had been sold.  Fitted with a Thornycroft 108 (BMC) diesel inboard engine on a shaft drive, this one was well-loved until a few years ago and then ill health meant that the owner could not look after her and she was left ashore for a few years: sadly with his passing, his family have to move the boat onto a new owner.  It is ashore in the boatyard and is complete.  The GRP (fibreglass) hull and superstructure are in very good shape and will only need cleaning and perhaps, some light paintwork to the decks and red stripe, the interior will need careful restoration and all the mechanicals re- commissioning.  There is a good level of equipment including a bow-thruster.  This is a very worthwhile project and would give her new owners much pleasure both in the restoration and then cruising the Thames and further afield.  The family will consider offers close to the asking price - £3,995
